Micro Bakery’s passion for delivering fresh daily baking, just as the original Village Bakers did in 1930, resonates with time-honoured tradition. We serve our local community as a live working heritage sourdough bakery and much more.
We incorporate heritage grains with modern influence from our founder’s 25 years of global Michelin experience, creating a unique culinary destination.

Micro Bakery works closely with sustainably sourced local suppliers, with direct contact from the product’s origin. We take pride in protecting the local business network to ensure only the freshest, highest-quality final product is achieved.

Our Philosophy
Micro Bakery is a proud creation from its founder who dreamed of a space like a secret garden. Nesteling away on a quiet country lane Micro Bakery derives form what once apon a time was the norm. A local village bakery, manned by the local village baker, working with fresh local ingredients, harbouring from the land, working with heritage grains and baking seasonally inspired fresh food for his community, but micro bakery was also founded by a traditional baker whom was is at previous time was globally experience nomadic chef, creating a unique and crazy coalition agaists what we have become and draw back to where we came.

Micro Bakery is located in the idyllic Much Hadham Green Belt at the Wareen Park Heritage Centre sharing its Countryside Space with Local Farmers, Grandey’s Place Quest Scholars such as horologists, Luthiers,textile historians, craft revivalists, classic car restorers,conservationists, Local Black Smiths, leathersmiths and restorers and many other Like minded People who share the vision of protecting Heritage Crafts. along with Famous Artists and ties with The Henrey Moore foundation,

working in an ever changing economical climate Micro Bakery is proud of its partnerships Organic Local suppliers with biodiverse practic’s, regenerative farming, and operating a reproductive allotment cycling, incourpourating biodegradable packaging and attempting to encourage a smaller carbon footprint at its rural farmerland location. Micro Bakery encourages cyclists, ramblers,Forages, walkers and classic automotive enthusiasts as its main client base along with like mindsourdough enthusiasts

Richard’s background spans classic French patisserie, ornate Japanese cuisine, Nordic and British sourdough baking, and plant-based fermentation a combination that inspires our ever-evolving creations.
